AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Operating Instructions

1. Points to note when setting up the cooling tower foundation

1) All foundation parts of the cooling tower are on the same horizontal line. If the foundation level is slightly uneven, please use a shim to adjust it.
2) In the case of a connected type and multiple chambers, please confirm whether there is no gap between the chambers.
3) After the cooling tower is on the foundation, please fix and tighten the foundation bolts. During the trial run, please confirm again whether the foundation bolts are tightened. If there is a steel frame on the foundation, please tighten the bolts of the steel frame.
4) If a seismic device is installed, confirm whether the foundation or steel frame and seismic device are tightened with the cooling tower, and confirm according to the assembly instructions of the seismic device manual.

2. Points to note about piping and water pumps

1) When connecting the pipes, please do not deform the cooling tower body or the interface due to the correction of the inclination of the pipes. When piping, please never process the parts of the cooling tower. Otherwise, it will affect the structural strength of the cooling tower.
2) The pipes and pumps and valves should be installed below the operating water level of the cooling tower, otherwise air will be sucked in when the operation starts, and water will overflow when the operation stops.
3) Use soft joints as much as possible for the joints connected to the cooling tower, so that the pipes only vibrate themselves and will not affect the cooling tower.

4) Please install valves on each pipe. This makes it easy to clean the cooling tower and can also be used as an anti-freezing measure when the operation stops. For easy operation, please do not install valves under the cooling tower.
5) When considering the location of the equipment, there should be enough water pump head, and the pressure loss along the way and the pressure loss of the cooling coil should be considered;
6) The interface flange pressure of fluid cooling is designed to be 1Mpa, and all pipes should consider hangers or supports.

3. Key points for debugging and operation

1) Please connect the motor according to the running direction arrow marked on the blower.
2) Please confirm whether the switch, fuse, and wiring are configured according to the capacity of the motor. Single-phase operation will burn the motor. We recommend using an overcurrent protector.
3) Before the initial operation of the circulating water pump, fill the pipes with water when the pump is stopped. Open the valve, start the water pump, and slowly open the valve. If the valve is opened to start the water pump, the impact of water will damage the components in the cooling tower. Pay attention to the water level of the lower water tank until all the pipes are full of water. Use the water supply pipe to add water until the running water level of the lower water tank is stable before continuous operation. At this time, be careful not to let air be sucked into the filter. Use a water meter to measure the running water level, and adjust the water flow by adjusting the valve angle. If there is a load, start the water pump and start the circulation before adding the load. If the load is added when the water volume is unstable, the inlet water temperature will be abnormally high.

4) Unbalanced water levels in the upper water tanks will cause insufficient cooling capacity. Please use the water distribution valve or pipe valve to adjust the water level of each water tank.
5) Please adjust the float valve to the operating water level.
6) If an antifreeze electric heater is installed, please be careful not to heat it without heating it and cause a fire.
7) Welding slag and iron powder from pipe cutting left during piping work are very harmful to the copper pipes of the refrigerator and are also the cause of water quality deterioration. Please clean the pipes during the trial operation period.
8) When using a closed cooling tower, the circulating water piping is a closed piping. In order to withstand the expansion of water in the pipe, please install an expansion water tank. The normal pressure of the water tank is below 0.49MPa.
9) The water pump of the closed cooling tower should be turned on by hand before powering on.

4. Precautions for winter operation

During winter operation, as the outside temperature decreases, the air specific gravity and the current value of the blower motor gradually increase. Please pay attention to antifreeze.
1) To prevent the freezing of the external circulating water, place an electric heater in the lower water tank. Please install a thermostat to prevent the water temperature from rising to too high a temperature.
2) To prevent empty heating, please confirm whether the heating part of the electric heater is immersed in water before turning on the power. It is recommended to use a water level alarm or detection switch.
3) For other methods of using the electric heater, please refer to the "Cooling Tower Anti-Freezing Electric Heater Operation Manual" before use.

4) To prevent the freezing of the internal circulating water, add a little antifreeze to the circulating water. Depending on the type and concentration of the antifreeze, the performance of the cooling tower may change. Please pay attention when selecting.
5) Due to water leakage and other reasons, the concentration of the antifreeze will decrease. Please check the concentration regularly and replenish it if necessary.
6) Keep the circulating water at a certain heat load and ensure that the circulating water temperature is not lower than 7°C (not lower than 3°C in the southern region). To ensure this heat load, a bypass pipe can be installed in the piping system to add an electric heater; at the same time, keep the circulating water in the closed system at a minimum flow rate.
7) Antifreeze of water pipes: In order to ensure that the outdoor water supply pipe and the supply and return pipes of the cooling tower can work normally in winter, these pipes need to be insulated. Generally, electric heating wires with temperature control devices can be used for heating. The electric heating wires are wrapped with non-absorbent heat-resistant insulation materials (such as flame-retardant polystyrene, etc.).
8) When shutting down in winter, it is necessary to drain the circulating water in the coil and the water tank to prevent freezing and cracking of the coil. Please open the air valve when draining water to facilitate the water to be drained cleanly.
